TOWN OF ELIZABETHTOWN

The Town of Elizabethtown is seeking qualified applicants for the position of General Maintenance Worker. The successful applicant will perform a variety of labor tasks within the Public Services Department including the maintenance and repair of streets, grounds, and Town owned areas, as well as leaf collection, cleaning storm drains, asphalt patching, and other maintenance work. Experience operating tractors, bushogs and related farm equipment a must. Candidates must possess knowledge of standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment utilized in work assigned, and working knowledge of safety precautions associated with assigned area of work. Candidate must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license, be capable of supervising Department of Corrections Inmates (DOC) and pass a DOC Inmate Supervision Course within six months after hiring.
