Primary duties include GIS data creation, collection procedures, maintenance, analysis & creation of maps for presentations. Other work includes assisting staff and the public with the compilation and distribution of plans, general zoning and planning questions, and code enforcement issues. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in planning, computer science, geography, or related field, & 1-2 yrs experience, and/or equivalent combination of training & experience preferred. Pref. for advanced knowledge/proficiency using ArcGIS 8.x & ESRI products; familiarity with LAN; MS office; ability to work independently & in a team environment; good written & oral communication skills.
