Singletary Lake - The Singletary Lake Group Camp is state-owned and has two group camping facilities available for family reunions, church groups or youth activities. Groups can rent either of the two camps which have bunk houses, a dining hall and all the needs for a large group. The lake is located on NC 53, five miles east of White Lake. 910-669-2774

Harmony Hall - Harmony hall is located 12 miles from Elizabethtown on NC 53 West.  Harmony Hall is the 1768 home of Colonel James A. Richardson who's wife overheard the war plans of General Cornwallace of the British Army. This information was taken to General George Washington of the Colonial Army and led to the defeat of General Cornwallace. 910-866-4844.

Tory Hole Park - Tory Hole Park is located on the banks of the Cape Fear River, just north of Elizabethtown on highway 701, and offers picnic shelters, playground equipment and an outdoor amphitheater.

Lock and Dam #2 - This dam is located on the Cape Fear River near Elizabethtown and is equipped to lower and raise the river waters so boats can continue their journey up and down the river. Also located at the dam is a special picnic area with facilities geared for family outing, including a boat ramp.   Lock and Dam #1 is located near the Bladen/Cumberland border.

Bay Tree Lake - Bay Tree Lake is located on Highway 41, ten miles from White Lake and is a private residential community, built around a large shallow water lake. The residents enjoy sailing, fishing and boating in a quiet atmosphere. 910-588-4432

Bladen County Park - Bladen County Park is located 4 miles south of Elizabethtown on Highway 701.  The park is a great place for family outings because there is a sheltered picnic area, individual tables under the trees and cooking facilities.  The park also has 4 baseball fields, a grassed volleyball court, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court, a horseshoe pitch, and a playground for children.   If you are a walking enthusiast, there is also a nature trail.   If your event is planned in advance, you will want to call the Parks and Recreation Department at 910-862-6770.  Otherwise, facilities are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bladen Lakes Educational State Forest - Located on NC 242, four miles from Elizabethtown and six miles from White Lake. This state forest offers a nature trail, naval stores and a box cut tree which harvests raw sap. 910-588-4161

Cape Fear River - Starting above Sanford, NC, and running to Wilmington, the Cape Fear River runs through Bladen County.  Years past the Cape Fear River was a highway for trade and exportation for the area.  Now it offers boating, fishing and quiet river scenery for area residents and visitors. Three locks and dams are located in the county along the river.

Elwell's Ferry - Elwell's Ferry is a unique river crossing located at Kelly, N.C. on Highway 53. This ferry is equipped to carry vehicles and offers a taste of how ferries were in the old days.

Carolina Sands at White Lake Golf Course - A beautiful 18-hole golf course located between Elizabethtown and White Lake on Highway 701. 910-862-8796
